Information Collected
It is important that you know that you and your children can enjoy the
Claus.com website without ever submitting any personal information
whatsoever. There are, however, various areas that offer enhanced fun
and more personal experiences if very minimal information is provided.
This information is name and e-mail address. This information is used
simply to personalize a page or to communicate with children who write
to Santa or who sign up for "opt-in" newsletters like the Polar Post
and Elf Buddy e-mail. Parents have the right to review any personal
information collected on their children, and may request that we delete
this information from our database.
An email may be sent in reply to anyone who sends Santa an
email. This is the only use of your email address if you email Santa.
Please note that Santa may not have time to respond to each and every
letter he receives in his inbox.
Our Privacy Promise for Children under 13 Years Old
In keeping with COPPA guidelines, we promise to abide by the following
requirements when a visitor is under 13 years old. Claus.com will:
1. NOT collect online contact information without parental
notification, which will include an opportunity for the parent to
prevent use of the information and participation in the activity. The
information will only be used to respond directly to the child's
request (including opt-in e-mail newsletters) and will not be used for
other purposes.
2. NOT collect personally identifiable off-line contact information.
3. NOT distribute to third parties any personally identifiable
information.
4. NOT give the ability to publicly post or otherwise distribute
personally identifiable contact information without prior parental
consent.
5. NOT entice by the prospect of a special game, prize or other
activity, to divulge more information than is needed to participate in
the activity.
Use of Parents' Information
Parents' e-mail addresses submitted by children under 13 will be used
to notify parents of their children's activity on our site, to notify
parents of content or policy changes, and to allow parents to elect to
remove their children's information from our database.
Links and Accessible Web Sites
Claus.com contains links to other children's sites. While we review
these sites on a regular basis and make every effort to ensure that
there are no links to inappropriate sites, ultimately we are not
responsible for the content on third party sites.
Removal of Personal Information
If, at any time, children or parents desire to have their personal
information deleted from the Claus.com servers, follow the instructions
within any Claus.com e-mail, and we will promptly comply with such

Security
Claus.com is committed to protecting all confidential data collected
from users, and accordingly, Claus.com has security measures in place
to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our
control. All user information is placed on servers that are
inaccessible to anyone other than the authorized personnel in our
