Groundhog Day is celebrated on February 2 each year. On this day, according to folklore, if a groundhog comes out from its burrow and the sun is shining, the groundhog will see its shadow and return to its burrow because there will be 6 more weeks of winter weather. If this day is cloudy the groundhog will not see its shadow and spring weather will come early.
